{STB} February 2018 Challenge - The Great Outdoors

Hey, hey my scrappy friends and happy February!!

Today I am here with you sharing my take on the fun February 20018 Scrap The Boys challenge as part of their DT. In fact, this is my first share as part of the DT and I am super excited that I was invited to the team so a big thank you to Rachel!!

Here is the challenge for February

And here is my take on the challenge

I was inspired by the colours as well as using the theme of the great outdoors so grabbed my Distress Oxides in Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Twisted Citron along with my photo. The photo is of my boys going down a big make shift water slide at our local fire brigade - hubby is a volunteer. Every year they do a family Christmas get together and this was the first year we had been there without any other commitments so the boys were beyond thrilled that they FINALLY got to go up and down that slide a gagillion times!

Before I added any colour I grabbed a stamp set by Letter It, stamped my title and stamped all over the background using Versafine black ink.

I did lots of smooshing with the plastic packaging technique and got my background to where I loved and then fussy cut my title.

When my background was dry I added some Envy Colour Paste and a stencil and applied some more texture both vertically and horizontally to the background.

While that dried I used my Apple of My Eye Colour Embossing Powder to alter my chipboard piece.

A couple of paper layers - from my scraps box and I stuck all my bits together and have a completed page!

Make sure you head over to the blog to see all of the other A-MAZING pieces created by the girls on the DT - so much inspiration!!

I love how this came together and you have until the end of the month to load up your challenges over on the blog for your chance to win an awesome prize!

I have a process video for this page and would love for you to pop on over!!

Until next time, happy scrapping!!
