Kraft+ May 2019 | Holly Jolly

Hello, hello and welcome to my blog today!

Once again it's a new month and I have my first share for the month for Kraft+ Challenges and I seriously had so much FUN putting this page together!

We have this great sketch and colour combo to play with this month and I hope you find it as inspirational as I did!!

The colour combo made me think of Christmas so I hunted through my photo stash and found this one of my little guys chatting to Santa from last year and ran with that and came up with this

Like I said, I had SO MUCH FUN putting this together and you can see my full process below, just hit play!

And here are a few close ups!

This post is a bit short this month, we've had a lot happening with school holidays, Easter, ANZAC Day and, of course, my big craft room move (if you'd like to see my new space click here!) and life!!!

Make sure you head over here to the K+ blog for this month's challenge inspiration post and to load up your take on this fun sketch!

I hope you enjoyed my share today and I will be back again soon with another!
Until then, happy scrapping!

Kraft + April 2019 | Our Little Junior Knight

Hey everyone and welcome back for my second share for April!

This one is my take on this month's fun challenge for Kraft Plus Challenges.

And here is my page

This page was SUPER fun for me to put together! I didn't really have much of a plan which left me lots of room to just play! And get messy!!

I was inspired by the main image in the inspiration piece - the colours (the green with the pops of black and yellow and the bold white lettering), the messy smeared on look of the paint and really artsy feel to the whole thing.

I've used 3 colours of Novu Embellishment Mousse - Aloe Vera, Coastal Surf and Powder Blue and literally smeared them onto the page. For my yellow I have used some Colour Blast Colour Paste.

Here are a few more close ups

For even more DT inspiration head over here and check out what the other talented DT members have done with this fun prompt!

That link is also the one you'll need to upload your take on this challenge so make sure you know where to go!

I have a process video for this page which you can watch simply by pressing play on the button below

I do hope you enjoy and I'll be back again soon with another share!

Until then, happy scrapping!

K+ December | Stitched Christmas Cards

Hello, hello and welcome once again to my blog!

Today I have my next December share and this one is for the very awesome K+ Needles and Pins challenge for the month!

It took me a little while to work out what I was going to do for this because I do love to stitch on my pages; both hand stitching and machine stitch. But this month I thought I would give my sewing machine a bit of a work out and make some cards!

What do you think?!? I just LOVE how these guys came out in the end! And they were fairly simple to create too, BONUS!

You can see my process (sorry, not my machine stitching, my machine is on the other side of my craft room) below if you'd like to see them come to life!

Here are some photos of each of my cards

And head over here for both the rest of the DT inspiration (oh my, total gorgeousness!!) and to load up your take on this month's fun challenge. I can't wait to see where this challenge takes you!

I hope you have enjoyed my share today and until next time, happy scrapping!!

{Stash} K+ April Challenge ~ Recipe Challenge ~ Details

Hello scrappy friends!! A super quick share for you today of my entry for the April 2018 K+ Challenge!

This one was lots of fun and I really love my end result!

I am going to give credit right now where credit is due! For my "something borrowed" I have borrowed 2 ideas! One idea I saw on Scrapaholics Anon by Hollie Heyenga - I'll try to link her page here! And I also borrowed the idea of the big flip on the right hand side from one of my newest YT crushes Corrie Jones and the page I got inspiration from was here.

Old: Papers (especially that blue spot one - one of my all time faves that I have been hoarding) and of course the whole idea of the wedding, after all we just celebrated our 10th anniversary! Oh, and a couple of punches!
New: Vicky Boutin Art Crayons and also a brand new Distress Crayon in Stormy Sky - the ever popular smooshing technique and of course, splatters ;) and also those fun gold and wood alphas
Borrowed: The journalling idea and the page design - links above!
Blue: Paper and mixed media

Here are a few close ups!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

{Stash} K+ December ~ Bunny Love ~ A Scrapbook Page

Hey, hey and Happy New Year's Eve!!

I think this will be my last share for the year so thank you ever so much for stopping by and for your continued support throughout the year. Scrapping is certainly my therapy and being able to share and inspire others is an added bonus!! I do truly appreciate every single comment and watch on my YT channel and from the bottom of my scrappy heart, thank you!

So, onto the layout! Today's page is for the December 2017 K+ challenge and true to form, I am uploading just in time ;)

Here is the mood board and I was inspired by the circles and all the pretty pastel-y colours

And here is my page!

I started with these goodies - all Aussie made products - Colour Blast for the mixed media, a stamp from Scrap FX and D-lish Scraps for all of my embellishments, in fact, all from my Advent Calendar which I LOVED, thanks Amanda! I did add in some alphas and also that mason jar shaker which also came from D-lish.

Here are a couple of close ups.

Big shout out to the K+ team as well. You guys are so very inspirational and I am so looking forward to another year of challenges!!

Thanks ever so much for stopping by once again and I am looking forward to a new year filled with lots of scrappy goodness!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Success - K+ October 2017 Challenge

Hey, hey my scrappy friends!! Today I am here sharing my entry for the K+ October 2017 Challenge :)

Here is a little sneaky peek

And here is the challenge - use something clear!

Oh, I had fun with this one! As soon as I saw the challenge I KNEW I wanted to do some sort of shaker pocket and here is what I came up with

I have also used some clear acetate butterflies from an A4 sheet that I fussy cut.

I found this quote/image on a FB page called Shades of Pink and fell in love with the image and the quote so, unusually for me, I wanted to scrap it! I'm pretty sure this page will end up in a frame in my scrap space because a) I love it and b) it is WAY too bumpy to go into album ;)

Here are a couple of close ups

Thank you, as always, for stopping by and see you again very soon!

{K+ August Guest} My Darling Big Boy ~ A scrapbook page

Hey, hey scrappy friends! I have a relatively quick share for you today but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my end result and am super duper excited to share!

So, of late I have been playing along with the very awesome and fun challenges over at Kraft Plus Challenges and I was lucky enough to be asked by Sandra to be their guest designer for August!! I gotta tell you, when the message came through I literally squealed!!

So, if you have yet to see this month's challenge it is "be inspired by trees" and I will be honest and tell you that I struggled with this for a couple of weeks before my idea came to fruition!

First I thought "christmas trees" and then I was thinking tree colours and then I was stuck again. So, google to the rescue! I simply searched "tree quotes" and found this one

Inspiration struck and off I went! I used my cameo to draw out a tree shape BIG on my background and then used my amazing Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Cubes to colour it up!

I won't get into too much detail but we are having a few issues with my biggest littlest man so right now we are on a very emotional ride and doing the best we can (as all Mums and Dads do!!) and this was therapy for me. And a big long letter to my biggest boy on the back of the page, just for him, from me. Here are a few close up details.

I have incorporated the advice from a tree tucked into a bag behind the photo and something I hope he takes with him throughout his life, I believe some very worthwhile lessons/advice ;)

A few florals, I mean we are talking trees and leaves and he CHOSE to have his face painted as a rainbow butterfly, some splatters, sequins and hand stitching to finish it off!

I did record my process so if you'd like to see this page come together please just click below and watch away!

Sandra and all the K+ team, I so love your challenges every single month, with this month being no exception, so a massive thank you for inviting me along to be a guest this month! It was a true pleasure and honour!

So, that's it for me for today, I have some other projects coming up this week so until then, happy scrapping!!

Huh? What? Where? My January K+ entry

Hi scrappy friends!! Just popped in quickly today to share with you my take on the January challenge for Kraft Plus Challenges. I haven't been able to manage to enter many of these challenges but I always love to play along when I get the chance!

This month I have chosen 5, yes, 5 photo's to scrap on 1 12x12 page. I chose this series of photos from oldest son's 6th birthday last January and am really happy with how the page came together!

If you haven't seen the challenge it is to simply include a bike on your page!! I was a little stumped to start with and then I found these photos!

I have used the Maggie Holmes Shine collection and like I said, love how this came out in the end! Another story documented and ready for the albums!

Here are a couple of close up's!

Make sure you head over to Kraft Plus to enter your own take on the challenge, you never know just how much fun you will have!!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!
