Fabby Friday with Tiddly Inks

Hello!!

Here we are with another Fabby Friday post with Tiddly Inks!!

This week I used the gorgeous little "King of The Wild Ones" digi stamp which I have had in my stash for ages and have been waiting for the confidence to colour him up. He jumped straight out at me when I was looking for an image to choose as he reminds me of my 2 little boys who are certainly testing their boundaries as of late ;)

A clean and simple make for me but I have been busting to give this a go!! I have actually used my cameo to cut the card front with the stitched border after I printed my image and sentiment (the sentiment came from this set) using the PixScan mat.

Here is a little close up of my colouring

The copic colours I have used are as follows:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and R20
Hair: E43, E47 and E49
Wild Thing Outfit: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18 and BG49
Crown: Y15, Y17, E15 and E18

This little cutie has made his overseas to one of our nephews and I hope he arrives there soon and safely!!

Hope you like my little guy and happy crafting :)

May with Dusty Attic

WOW!! May?!? Already?! I can hardly believe how quickly this year is flying by. With it all the little moments of the every day life. I have been meaning to do some work on my 2 little people's album's pretty much since I started Project Life back in January 2013. It hasn't really happened. Well, to be honest, it HASN'T happened!!

That is until this month!! I was feeling a bit blergh about all the projects I have on the go at the moment and thought starting something new would maybe kick start my mojo. And as an end result of that one of my boys has April 2015 documented and in his album and the other has the 12x12 half of April done!

I decided that to keep it pretty simple I would do a combination of PL and 12x12 pages each month for each of my boys. Focusing on their stories.

Running with that I came up with these 2 pages for Jacob's album for April 2015.

I started with that fun 12x12 green and blue triangle print by Kaisercraft and found some Simple Stories Snap Boy cards that matched perfectly!! I teamed that with some washi tape, some Kaisercraft stickers and some black print at home labels. Oh and a HEAP of Dusty Attic chippies!!

And this is how they will sit in his album

So, I am currently feeling rather proud of myself and my ingenius idea of keeping it simple and getting it done!! As I said above, I am now about 3/4 of the way through April 2015 for Hunter as well!!

Here are a few close ups of all the fun Dusty Attic goodies I have used and as you can see, I have kept them all raw for both pages, just love how the pages came together!

In this cluster I have used Mini Number Set for 2015, Page Pebbles #8 (thank you so much Lizzie for the idea of the epoxy dot over these, they look fabulous!!), Mini Cogs, Mini Stars and Arrows #1.

Here I have used the Mini Banners attached on top of some washi tape.

Again the epoxy dot over one of the Page Pebbles #8 and more of the Mini Stars.

And once more one of the Page Pebbles #8 with the epoxy dot and Mini Stars.

More Mini Cogs, Mini Stars and also the Mini ABC Upper Set - and YES! I have indeed used a 'V' in place of an 'A' - I need a sheet of vowels only!! Hahaha!!

Some Teeny Tiny ABC letters for the little caption and a circle from the Page Pebbles #10 set - again with the epoxy dot.

And, finally, here I have paired the Teeny Tiny ABC letters with the word "attitude" from Word Pack #6.

There are 2 titles that I didn't photograph separately but for one I have again used the Mini ABC Set Upper (with a V for an A) to spell MATES on the top left and the word "adore" from Mini Words #1.

So, I had a heap of fun putting these together and piling on all my Dusty Attic yummies!! And a bonus, it is documented and in his album!

I hope I have helped inspire you to get some of those memories recorded and in albums/on pages and will be back again next month!!

Project Life 2015 Update

Hi there!!

Just wanted to pop in here this morning and share a bit of an update on our 2015 Project Life album!

Firstly, I am totally loving the process and ALMOST up to date! Woo hoo!! The closest I have been since December or there abouts!!

I have completed in my album our weeks 1-15 and weeks 16 and 17 are sitting in sleeves in our album awaiting cards and journalling!

I have done a little blogging of some of our weeks with a couple of various DT posts so I will share links for those here and photos for the gaps and probably a couple more week spreads :)

You can find Week 1 here - A spread I did for the Life Zesters DT February Challenge. Sadly, LZ is no longer, the decision was made at the end of April to close it down :(

You can find Week 2 here - Again, a spread I did for the LZ DT March Challenge

Week 3

As this week sits in our album :)

I have used a 6x6 paper pad for this week, Creative Agenda by Echo Park and paired that with some fun dark blue enamel dots and stars, some labels, washi and alphas from my stash.

The left side

And the right side

Week 3 saw my big boy's 5th birthday and party so of course an insert!

The front (I used a G design PP)

I have used a did TMNT paper pack which I purchased through Etsy and included his invite and also the tags from the lolly bags which I popped into a little pocket I hand sewed together top left :)
Bottom right is a flip :)

And then the back of the insert

Week 4 can be found here - I did Life Zesters April Challenge this month

Week 5

As this week sits in our album

I have used the Heidi Swapp September Skies PL kit and added in a few ephemera pieces from the same range and also those gorgeous glittery blue thickers.

The left hand side

And the right hand side - again another flip, top right - I have used heaps of these, they are AWESOME!!

And under the flip :)

Week 6

As it is in the album

I have used a PL Specialty Cards "Noted" pack paired with some Shimelle rub on's, alpha/word stickers and some puffy stickers from my stash :)

The left hand side

And the right hand side - another flip, bottom left

And what is under the flip with some journalling straight onto the photo in the A desgin PP.

Week 6 saw the start of Term 1 2015 which meant full time school for my big boy which called for an insert!!

This time I used an A design PP which I have cut down on the right hand side and then sewed back up along the cut edge.

I have used the Websters Pages Hall Pass range for the papers and some embellishments and also used some of the bits from the Heidi Swapp September Skies ephemera pack. The tabs I have used on the right hand edge are from Flutterby Designs - an Australian company :)

And the back

Onto week 7

I have used one of my most fave paper lines for this week - Simple Stories Daily Grind. I also found an ephemera pack for the same range - insert squeal of excitement!! Haha!! I have also teamed the ephemera pack with some glittery black thickers, I just LOVE this font!!

Both pages as they are in the album

The left hand side

And the right hand side

Now, one thing I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE about PL is being able to include some of the "stuff" the boys do. On the left side of this spread, top right there is a photo of Hunter painting. While we had the paints out (and knowing it was going to end up all over his hands anyways ;) ) I got him to give me a hand print on some white cardstock. This is his hand, exactly as it was (well, perhaps not with tips of his fingers missing!!) on that day. That is important to me.

And now I can hear my little guy is awake so I shall link you up to our week 8 and go and do the "Mum thing"! Week 8 was documented with a tonne of Dusty Attic goodies, painted GOLD and shared here.

So, that's it for me for today. I hope to be back very soon with some more PL updates, who knows, perhaps not only will our real life album be up date but perhaps my blog album will also be up to date!!

Happy scrapping and if you are reading and it is still Sunday, Happy Mumma's day, if it is Monday, Happy Mummas Day for yesterday and I hope Monday is kind to you!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Cards and some news!

Hi there!!

I just popped in quickly to share some mixed media cards I have put together over the last little while :)

I made this background as part of a challenge over at Deer & Fawn (on their FB page) and WON!! Yay! But the challenge was to use 1 stamp, 1 spray and 1 stencil. I did use 2 sprays and 2 stamps but I love how my background turned out!

I used some watercolour paper and made sure I had a piece that was going to be the right size to chop in 2 to make 2 card fronts.

When I finally got around to making up the cards I reached into my new little "use it or lose it" box and reached for some Dear Lizzy stickers and also some Maggie Holmes photo overlays and this is what I came up with.

The only things I have added to the stickers and the overlay for this card was the sequins and some Heidi Swapp gold colour shine :)

This card ended up going to my awesome MIL for her birthday.

And a little up close and personal with the cluster at the bottom.

So, I have added only a tiny couple of extras to this as well. The white doily from my stash and the flowers actually had a sentiment printed under where it says "Best Buddies" but I just didn't like it so changed it up with some Simple Stories tiny word stickers :)

And another up close and personal!

So much fun!! And I am off to another Mixed Media class this Saturday, can't wait!! And this idea of a "use it or lose it" box has really seen my using more of stash - both from that box and from all my other piles of pretty things!!

Onto my news!!

I am so, so, so excited to share that I DID make it onto the Tiddly Inks DT. This was my 2nd attempt so I am beyond thrilled and excited that Christy invited me to play with her gorgeous creations!!

If you would like to see the card I applied with head over here and if you would like to see my 1st application you can see that here! Yikes my colouring has improved!!

So, hopefully I will be keeping things up to date here but most definitely over on my FB To The Stars and Back - would love it if you headed over and "liked" me there too!!

So, I know I have a lot of crafty things happening including colouring and our PL album - which is almost up to date - squeal, so excited!! I will head back here soon and share more! Until then happy scrapping!!
