PL Week 8

Hello!!

Tonight I am here sharing my week 8 :)
Unlike week 7 this week hasn't been completed for a few weeks - I only finished it off on Sunday at a PL Get Together us WA girls organised :)

So here you go:

Week 8 LHS
As you can see here I have used the gorgeous Week No's designed by Janet over at Snow Moon on Etsy which you will see in each of my weeks from here on out cause I LOVE them!! I have also used another gorgeous new product I found, the felt arrow - this is done by Agnus over at {scrAp this!} (who by the way is having a sale on this weekend - I can't wait to see what is available!!).

Week 8 RHS
I have used a little photo flip in this week (I had a couple of photos that just HAD to be included in this week!!) And right under that little photo flip is another QR code with a video of Master Hunter giggling!!

And here is RHS opened
I just want to add here that my wonderful husband drove all the way home from work on the Saturday to look after me with my sprained back and since it's such a long drive and something I have NEVER had him do before it just needed to be included.

And last but by no means least, here is both the left and right together as they are in the album :)

As always, thank you for stopping in and I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and LONG weekend and that the Easter Bunny is good to you!!

PL Week 7 is well and truly done!

Hi there guys!!

Just a quick post showing you my completed week 7 - it has been completed for a couple of weeks now just keep forgetting to photograph during the day!!

I have used a mix of my cobalt kit and some other bits purchased from the PL Garage Sale page over on FB and also a couple of bits (the flair and star) from The Stamp Spot.

Here you go:

First up is my LHS.
I have included a couple of video's via a QR code - Master Jacob had so much fun at Chipmunks that I just HAD to include these.
This is also the 1st week I started to get a bit brave and start pretty-ing things up as you can see with my filler card there - there is a close up coming as well ;)

Here is the RHS.
I had had a full on week with Master J really testing his boundaries and the cool little dude on the top right just yelled at me to be included in this weeks PL!
You can also see that I have prettied up my title card for this week - another close up further down :)

And both left and right together.

We also have an insert for this week - we visited a fun new Dr Seuss themed park where for the most part we had a great time!!

So here is the front

And the back

And as promised here are the close up's of my crafty CREATiveness

Filler card

Title card
The awesome little ? paperclip came from my trip to Type and that really cute camera stamp (and capture the moment saying) came from The Beary Scrap.

As always, thank you for stopping by and feel free to leave me some love!!

A new baby Niece

Well, this week brought us an adorable little surprise in the form an early arrival of our new niece, Ambria. Born 4 weeks early she is 6lb 3oz and was just ready to meet the world!!

Of course, a new baby means a new baby card! I love, love, love my copics and absolutely adore the digi images over at Saturated Canary and have been so so so looking forward to using this particular image, especially in girl colours!!

Those of you that know me know I generally do not do purple but I just thought it worked so off I went!! The tickets and the ticket punch are Stampin Up products - I also used Stampin Up ink to stamp these and the Stampin Write markers to jot the date onto the ticket. (Melon Mambo and Perfect Plum)

I just adore this stamp - it so cute and can be suitable for boy babies or girl babies!! As I said, I used my copics to colour and here are the colours I used:

Hair and eyes: E30, E31, E25 and E27
Skin and lips: E000, E00, E11, R20 and E04
Onsie and wings: R81, R83, R85, BV000, BV00, BV02, E50, E51 and E53

And here is the finished card - I have used some left over Kaiser paper and some retired In Colour cardstock from Stampin Up! and the sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Sweet Essentials" stamp set.

As always, thanks for stopping by :)

February ATC Swap

Hi again!!

Today I am sharing my February ATC swap for Aussie Scrappers Society FB Group. The theme was  Valentines/Love which I actually really struggled with!

Firstly a little story! I noticed a trend in the designs I kept downloading in the Silhouette store and that trend is that I keep picking designs by the very talented Lori Whitlock (who by the way has designed the gorgeous Honey edition PL which I have on pre-order through The Stamp Spot) so I figured I would head on over to her blog for some inspiration. This post jumped up and bit me and there was my idea!! So I headed over to the Silhouette store to download the "you melt my heart" cut and off I went!

Here is what I came up with:

So I used some Kaiser washi tape, some bazzill card stock in pink, grey and white, some SU doilies (these are just so darn cute!), some Tattered Angels Glimmermist in Graphite and also some bling I had left over from another project. As I struggled for so long on this I was so so so happy that they were done but I must admit also very happy with the end product!

Thanks as always for stopping in!

Heidi Swapp Inspired Memory File

Hello beautiful followers!!

Today I am sharing with you all a memory file I created for a swap I participated in. We had originally agreed to swap a Lapbook (go here to have a squiz) but both decided that it was getting too fat for postage (my partner is in the US) without it even being finished!! My wonderful partner, Sandy, suggested we do a memory file inspired by the beautiful Heidi Swapp. I had never heard of, let alone seen, these products and to say that I am now addicted would be an understatement!! Head on over here for a quick run down by Heidi herself and over here for where I got the idea's on how to build one for my swap.

I used the Bo Bunny "Camp A Lot" range of papers, stamps and chipboard and got the base file folders from Typo (here in Australia).

I had a heap of fun making this and currently have my pre-order in for Heidi's beautiful new ranges over at The Stamp Spot.

That is enough of the chit chat so here are the photos:

Here is the cover. I just used one of the journal type blocks from the paper range, then cut the swirly frame and popped that up on some foam squares just to give a little extra lift. I've also added a couple of little embellishments on the front and punched a little hole to get a peek inside :)

A close up of the popped up bit of the title card :)

Here is the front cover opened up.

You can see on the left the photo stack/flip folder thingy I made. I made the file folders using my 3rd baby the cameo and some 6x4 flip pockets that I had here - I even sewed right down the middle of one of the photo pockets to give 2 3x4's :)
On the right hand side there is another file folder that I have stuck down (and cut with my 3rd baby!) on the back and done a little embellishing using some stickers from the Bo Bunny range and also used the cameo again to cut Heidi's awesome.

This is the 2nd file folder opened up to reveal yet another file folder which I have stitched into place. I have also folded over the front of the folder to create a little pocket (which was "sealed" shut with my amazing Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher tool) which I popped in a mini book (also cut on the Cameo) that is Very Vanilla cardstock (by Stampin Up!) and a paper from the Bo Bunny range and held together with some yellow and white twine.

And here is the mini album opened up for a better view :)

And the middle file folder opened up.

And the very last "page" with the beautiful "awesome" by Heidi :)

Some embellishing I did using some of the stickers from the range.

And just a close up of this cause it's just awesome!!

As always, thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared.
Thank you again Sandy for the inspiration to make this, I really enjoyed it!!

We have a winner!!

Well first up I would just like to say a huge thank you to all that participated and left me some love!! I loved reading all of your answers and thank you for all of your very kind words about my little card!!

Onto the good stuff!

I had a total of 9 comments that went into the draw - you were all assigned a number in order of your posts and I used www.random.org to pick a winner....

Lucky #1 was Granmargaret with this comment:

Lovely cute card Melinda. Unfortunately I don't have an Easter indulgence. I can't eat chocolate as I am allergic to it. But we had an Easter egg hunt for my 4 grand daughters and had a good time looking for them and then eating them.

Congratulations Granmargaret and I think it's a little apt that someone who can't eat chocolate at Easter get themselves a little prize!!

Welcome to the first Stamp Spot Blog Hop!

This weekend, we'd love to share with you some inspiration for this months craft challenge (kids) , and also a chance to win some awesome prizes!  At each stop along the way, read the post carefully, as each blog will have a fun question for you to answer. Answer the question to go in the draw for the prize from each blog!

If you've come from Jess T's , you're on the right track, if not, head to The Stamp Spot blog, and start from the beginning!

Next on the list is the lovely Janet at Paper Card and Stamps
Good luck!

So, here is my question:

What is YOUR favourite Easter indulgence? Mine HAS to be Cadbury Creme Eggs! And I have to lick the gooey goodness out then eat the chocolate!!

But, what is a blog post without any pictures, right??!

Well here is my take on this month's challenge, kids projects. Head on over here to enter your kid's themed project.

I have coloured this little guy (who came from Pink Gem Designs over on Etsy) with Copic markers and used papers from my stash, a Stampin' Up stamp (sentiment) and die and also some good old walnut stain distress ink with my blender tool. And, how can I forget, my tiny attacher also by Tim!

I meant to write down which Copic's I used but (no big surprise here!!) I forgot :( If anyone is interested though just leave the question in your comment and I will have a hunt for it for you :)

As always, thanks for stopping by and best of luck with the random draw for an awesome prize from the amazing Michelle over at The Stamp Spot!

Hello again lovely readers!!

Today I have for you my January ATC swap for Aussie Scrappers Society FB Group. As much as I LOVE colouring I will NEVER again colour for another swap like this!!

Here is my finished design and though it was ALOT of work I'm very happy with the way they turned out and I hope the other girls in my group enjoy them!!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Well hello again lovely followers!!

Here today (FINALLY I might add!) are my completed January and February tasks for my OLW January and February tasks!

Head on over here for the complete story of January. And here for the start of February's journey :) And here for the end of February's journey

Here is the good stuff - the pictures!!

FRONT January

BACK January

And February - my Inspiration Board
This is now blu-tacked to the wall in my craft room above my PC. When I decide that it's done it's job I'm going to fold it in half and pop into an 8 1/2"x11" PP and pop that straight into my file.

We got our March email just yesterday from Ali so I am hoping to get to watching that tonight - I believe hubby will be pleased to have the opportunity to play in the garage tonight!!

As always, thanks for stopping by :)

Project Life Week 6 is here!

So, I'm back again, this time with my PL Week 6 LO :)

I have been playing a bit more with things from my stash and adding lil bits of fun to my LO's though still getting the hang of exactly what I like and how I like to Project Life.

Here are the pics:

Here is the left side.
I was feeling totally overwhelmed with all the washing I had to do to so I figured I may as well Project Life it!! I also had the pleasure of my very 1st Typo visit which was part of a family trip into Perth City (our 1st as 4!). The 6x8 template had been shared on the PLA FB page but if anyone wants the file I can share it just leave me a comment and can email it through :) Also on this page is the cute little "Dangerous Tiger" I just couldn't exclude!

Here is the right hand side.
There are a couple of pretty important little milestones on this side that I'd to share. The 1st is top left - Hunter chewing his feet. I have been waiting for this super cute moment for a couple of weeks and he just lent all the way over on my lap one day and started chewing away - too cute!! The other is the top right. My big boy Jacob had his 1st day at 3 year old Kindy on the Friday. Here is all ready to go on his 1st morning - we were both very excited (and Mummy have been a little teary!) and he had a great time!

This week also called for a couple of inserts due to Jacob's 1st day at 3 year old Kindy. The left is a little poem left out for all the Mummy's leaving their babies and the right is Jacob's very 1st drawing from school - the cheeky lil devil actually did 2 though so the back is the following picture :)

And last but not least, here are both pages together.

As always, thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

Oh, and one last thing to share - I have been working on my very 1st memory file (Heidi Swapp inspired) for a swap and will share the photo's once I know my partner has received it! I had SO much fun putting this together so, Sandy, if your reading this, thank you again for the idea!!

Designed to Color Challenge

Well today I am here with a card for a challenge over at Designed to Color who are celebrating their 1st birthday with lots of fun and games over the weekend.

This is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and I chose the Yellow, Banner and Ribbon from the game board to play along with.

I have used Cool Gray Copics to colour in one of my favourite Saturated Canary digi stamps - C0, C1, C3, C5 and C7. I used E04 on her lips (and blended it out with C0) and G05 and G000 for her eyes.
The doily, ribbon, paper and cardstock are all from Stampin Up and I have used a Technique Tuesday stamp for the "hi" sentiment along with some other bits and pieces from my stash :)

I hope you like what I have created - I had lots of fun colouring and designing this one :)

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely Sunday :)
