December Daily Days 5-10

Hi again!

Here today sharing some more of my December Daily album. This post has taken on a life of it's own so I will warn you there are quiet a few photos and some personal words but please enjoy!!

Again, so much fun putting this together!!

Here we go with day 5

Not a great deal to share about this day but there is some of that gorgeous washi, my day number using the epiphany star bubble thing with the number from Heidi's Believe ephemera pack. Oh, and a little tab right up the top, Oh What Fun!

Day 6

I just couldn't bring myself to cover over that poinsetta print - beautiful! So, instead I worked with it and took up nearly 3 pages but love how it turned out! Some October Afternoon mini market letters, some Heidi Swapp alphas and again the day number. That cute little frame was cut into the page already and I just love that you can get a peek at what's behind!!

The 2 pages you open up to :) Some more ephemera pieces and low and behold, more washi!! I have also used a "remember" sentiment from a Heidi Swapp stamp set I have :)

And a close up of what is happening on the LHS :) I made a little flap, stuck down pictures of my 2 favourite pieces of art from my son, added some washi (again!!), banner delights from the Believe range and some more ephemera. Oh, and used some of my scraps of off cut papers to mount my photos :)

Day 8

Yes! I did miss a day! No, not intentionally at all!! Day 7 sits next to Day 8 but on the right hand side. I had stuck down everything for Day 8 then realised I had them backwards. BUT I decided to just go with it!!

So, Day 8....

Nothing particularly fancy but there is indeed some washi - right under the title and the little bits of paper washi that come on a sheet. Gold thickers (beautiful IRL!!), more mini market alphas and my day number.

Day 7

This page started as a black and white numbers page which I do love but I found my photo was sort of blending in. I have had this piece of vellum in my stash for ages and have been hanging for a chance to use it - voila!! I love that it has green stars which meant I could add red and gold and we have a Christmassy bit of vellum!! So, on went the vellum, the washi and the banner delights. Stitched down with my gold thread (IN LOVE!! Did I tell you that already??!). Red photo journalling pen and photo with some natural and gold coloured twine, my day number and another day done!

Day 9

SANTA PHOTOS!! For those of you that know me well you may be surprised to see that we had these so "late" this year. I am a stress head! I do not like crowds at shopping centres at the best of times but shopping centres AT Christmas WITH kids, ARGH!! (I find that there are too many people that have lost their manners and forget that other people exist!) But I decided very early on this year that I was NOT going to stress out this year. It is Christmas, MY favourite time of the year and I am going to ENJOY it and LOVE it! And hopefully pass on my love for the magic of this time of year to my little men. No, Christmas is not all about Santa and the presents but at not quiet 4 and just over 12 months I'm going with it and telling my boys (Jacob more so) that Christmas is about family. And love. And being together. And giving. And believing. So the fact is, my big boy believes and LOVES Santa. You can't see it in this pic - one rubs off on the other - but you can in his own.

Love that paper! Didn't want to cover too much of it. There is a little glassine bag with red polka dots attached behind the 3x4 vellum card that I have both journalled on and gold embossed on and that little bag was attached directly to the page. An ephemera piece, some Studio Calico gold sticker stars, some silver buzz words and 2 little wallet sized photos in the bag.

This kid LOVES Santa!!

This one, not quiet convinced as yet but that's ok. No tears or tantrums, one happy Mumma!!

Next to the page of the boys with Santa is a gorgeous clear printed acetate sheet - love it, didn't touch it!!

After that, a very cute little tag!

Here is the front

Some gold washi, banners, left over paper scraps, a wood veneer piece from Freckled Fawn and a stamped and embossed sentiment from Elles Studio.

And the back

Banners, ephemera, some mini market numbers and more stamping and embossing this time on vellum.

And last for today is our Day 10

As the title suggests, this day we wrote out letters to Santa. Well, I wrote and the boys drew. It was fun though. I took copies of the letters and printed onto 6x4 matte photo paper. I made this page into a pocket when I stuck down the photo. there is some vellum behind the mini polaroid frame which I used my gold thread to sew around. More mini market alphas with more gold stitching and one of the buzz words from the Believe collection. NO WASHI!! But there is our little star day number :)

If you have read this far, WOW! and thank you so much!

I hope you are enjoying seeing what me and family are up to this Silly Season, though I am behind! But it's getting done and we are enjoying this year - mostly stress free!!

I hope that you are managing to keep up with your DD if you are playing along or at least enjoying the process!!

Love you to the stars and back

Hi there!

Though I have a heap to catch up on sharing with you in my DD I am here today to share a scrapbook page I recently completed of my 2 little boys. I used another of Shimelle Laine's sketches from her blog which you can see below

And here is the link to the post on Shimelle's blog.

I had decided that this was a picture that HAD to be scrapped - it is one of my all time favourites of the little guys and then I saw the heart paper from Glitz Design and I KNEW I had found the perfect paper!

Here is a shot of the whole LO

I have used a sheet of plain black card stock to mount it all onto and then started my layers. The blue is from one of Amy Tan's lines (Im sorry I can't remember which exactly!), then the black hearts from Glitz which I used some white texture paste with Heidi Swapp stencil in the top right and bottom left corners. On top of that I sprinkled some of the Teal Colour Shine from Heidi Swapp. I have used the same blue to mount my photo. A stamp and paper clip from Freckled Fawn, some thickers and some of the alpha's from the Glitz Wild and Free sticker sheet. Also another Amy Tan paper (the kraft with the white arrows) and some grey and white chevron from my stash. And to finish it off I used a teal, black and white heart from Charms Creations and also some of the little teal glittery hearts from Freckled Fawn.

And just a close up of the title and some bits and pieces :)

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and I hope you have enjoyed looking at my page!

December Daily Days 1-4 with Heidi Swapp yummies!

Hello there!!

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to drop by and take a peek at my creation!! I think this post is going to be photo heavy too, FYI ;)

So, as I shared a few posts ago I decided ages ago that I was going to use the Heidi Swapp Believe mini album for my DD this year - I figured if I had zero time to get anything done at least the base pages were done and all I would need to do would be add photos and journalling :)

I gotta say, the gorgeousness of this album has made me want to play, play and play!!

Without further ado here you go with the cover:

So, I have used some bits and pieces from my stash but have also used some Believe banners, Believe ephemera and some washi (the gold - love this!!) from Freckled Fawn. I have used my own handwriting along with my silhouette and printer to do the Sweetman and used Heidi Swapp colour magic letters for the December and gorgeous gold glittery thickers for the 2013. So happy with how this turned out!!

And just a close up of the bottom corner :)

Onto the inside! I have seriously had so much fun putting this together!!

This is the 1st page you open up to and I love this pic of my little family!
We had a family shoot done pretty recently by the lovely Nadine over at Nadine Stanford Photography and I am so happy with the shots and the way the turned out in general!

This is the 1st page after the 1st tag - another GORGEOUS pic - this time of my handsome littlest men. Thank you Nadine!! More Heidi ephemera and some paper from the 6x6 paper pad :)

I haven't done a heap with these 2 tags as yet. I have used my tiny attacher to attach a couple of vellum tags!

On the left hand side tag there is a little card I played with in PSE and when I went to stick it down the red was SO. BOLD. I used some scraps of vellum as a little banner flap over the top to soften it up a bit.

And here is the card in digi form :) The image is from Sweet Shoppe Designs from their December Daily Digi Kit and the words are Ali Edwards from one of the Christmas PSD templates found here.

Here is the transperency with some Believe banners and again that gorgeous washi from Freckled Fawn.

And our Day One :)
All about decorating in this house. We did also have my husband's work Christmas family day but the tree won out! I have photographed 3 balls that represented our colour scheme this year - totally inspired by Heidi's Believe range ;) And also, one of my most favourite little decorations - a little Eeyore in a ball catching a snowflake on his little nose.

Day Two.
We went and saw a friend of ours who's little boy was celebrating his 2nd birthday :) We also got to enjoy some of the left over cake (his party was the day before but we missed it) which both of my boys LOVED! Again, more Believe ephemera, some gold glitter thickers and also some of Heidi's glitter buzz words, oh, and more washi!!

Day Three.
A pretty ordinary Tuesday morning here but on a drive I turned around to see my 2 favourite little guys holding hands. A-DORABLE!! I edited the pic in an app called Pic FX - turned it black and white and added the tiny heart bokeh effect. I have to say, I am in LOVE with this page!! In love! More washi and also some from Glitz designs, the tiny black hearts. Some gold and natural coloured twine, some Believe 6x6 paper and the LOVE came from Maggie Holmes Flea Market ephemera pack. The banner is a little flap and I have added some kraft coloured card under to complete my journalling.

Day Four.
We had a Kindy orientation morning for my biggest boy on this day. So my sister came over and watched Hunter for me while Jacob and I headed off to school. He had an absolute ball and he is so so so looking forward to starting Kindy next year! So, today, Believe ephemera, some vellum from my stash, a PL 3x4 journalling card, some Believe 12x12 scraps of paper and the frame is from CTMH spritzed with Heidi's Chartreuse Colour Shine.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the day numbers (the little stars from the ephemera pack) are a perfect fit for the Epiphany tools star tool!! Love!!

Thank you for stopping by and I would love to read some of your thoughts!!

If your DD'ing this year I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am and I am planning a catch up over the next few days!!

Meet Pixie our scout elf :)

Hi there blog-land! Again it has been a little while but today I am here to share with you the 1st few pages of a little book I threw together using some card stock, an old chip box, the Studio Calico mini kit from the 25 days class and some of last year's Christmas paper's from the Kaiser Mint Twist range. Oh, I have also used a few bits and pieces from Heidi Swapp's Believe range - in love!!

With it being officially well and truly into the silly season we have had one of Santa's scout elves join our family. My nearly 4 year named her Pixie - and for any of you that know me personally you will see the irony in this as this was my all time favourite girl name that my husband said I could NEVER ever use if we ever had a girl!!

Anyways, here is my cover and first 4 days of our adventures with Pixie our Elf :)

The album was very simply put together by cutting down a big share box of chippies - I used the flappy bits for the front and back cover and just stuck some of the patterned paper on the outside and inside of both the front and back covers, cut some coloured card stock a wee bit smaller, punched some holes using my Bind-It-All and bound it all together.

Here is my 1st page using some supplies from my stash and also some goodies from the SC kit.

And day one found Pixie perched on our new Reindeer Sparkles with her book and a letter from Santa :)

Day Two we discovered that Pixie had got into a supply of Christmas chocolate and left her wrappers and half eaten chocolate strewn all about her! Jacob was rather upset that she had left a big mess and tried to tidy up her rubbish. He did however accidently touch her in the process. We had a sneaky visit from Santa while both boys slept and he left a letter and some Magical Elf Recovery Dust for us to sprinkle so that Pixie got her magic back. A quick sprinkle and hopefully she is returned to full elf health tomorrow!

And here is the tag with the day's journalling and a picture of our little delivery from Santa ;)

Day three found that Pixie's magic had indeed been returned as we found her with Sparkles the Reindeer and Jingle the dog at the dining table with all of our Christmas books reading :)

The photo and papers are actually mounted on a certificate we received that confirmed Pixie's full health which stays closed with tiny little magnets attached with super glue.

And last for today, day four we found Pixie literally hanging with the fairy that hangs over our kitchen bench :) And there she stayed all day :)

As always, thank you for taking the time to stop by :) I hope your elf is making just enough mischief to keep your littlies entertained!!

Heidi and Kim and my December Daily cover

Hello there blog-land!! Has been a wee while since I have shared anything and that is mostly that life has been happening!! I have been slowly plugging away at my Project Life and am very happy to say that I'm up date printing photos but just need finish off the last 2 week's lay outs so not behind!!

I was also lucky enough to head to one of Heidi Swapp's classes during her "Make Pretty Stuff Down Under Tour" and to say it was amazing is a total understatement!!

The kits were bursting with goodies and Heidi and Kim were such awesome teachers and so generous with their time around the room!! They both shared some pretty personal stories (and made me cry!!) but I have walked away with a message that I think they would both be happy to know - No 1 - This "craft" "me time" thing that I do, is special. I hope that one day my children will look back and want to know more stories and be interested and go "Mum, I seriously cannot believe you put that photo of me (naked!!) on a scrapbook page!!" But most importantly for me I walked away thinking about my life. What I have. What I don't have. What I want. And what matters. What matters is this: Being Happy. And having a happy and loving environment for my babies EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! So focusing on the positive (some stuff happening here in my own life at the moment), and for the 1st time in my life keeping a gratitude journal - I have always been grateful just never written it down. So, a massive thank you to both Heidi and Kim for all that they shared and taught us.

Onto the fun part of this post - I had been hanging out for Make Pretty Stuff day cause I decided that I wanted to use Heidi's Believe Mini Album for my December Daily. I have taken a bunch of the stuff Kim taught us and pre-made the "bits" for me to add as I go through the month but last night I finally got around to creating my cover.

I used my trusty Cameo with my own handwriting, some of the gorgeous products (and I cannot entirely express just how much I adore this collection!!) from the Believe Collection and some bits and pieces of my stash.

Here is the cover in its entirety:

And a close up

I also MUST share here my photo of Heidi and myself (I have a bit of a girl crush I think - this woman is seriously A-MAZING!!) that is making it into our PL for week 46 :) I have yet to properly edit the rest so will no doubt share more soon!

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and today especially, for reading my big long winded post!!

Tiddly Inks Anything Goes Challenge

Hello there!

Just a quick little post today sharing with you a card I created for the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog #119 - Anything Goes.

I used the "Wicked Birthday" stamp set and had a heap of fun colouring her up - as always!!

I have just used some of my stash of 6x6 paper pads, cut up some bling flourishes and used a flair from A Piece of Cake Designs.

Without further ado here is my little creation which I decided to keep pretty simple :)

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and R20
Hair: W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9
Clothes Blue: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99 Purple: BV20, BV23, BV25 and BV29

I did a little doodling around the edge, mounted the papers and added some bling, the mini doily (from The Greatest View) and the flair.

I think this is going to be going to one of my nieces for her birthday this month :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed looking at my creation :)

PL Week 32

Hello there To The Stars and Back followers!

It has been a while since I have the chance to blog (lots of real life happening around here lately!!) but here I am and am I jumping a whole lot forward to share with you my Project Life Week 32 spread as I am using this spread to enter the October Project Life challenge over on the Life.Paper.Scrapbook. blog. The theme this month is square photo's :)

Without further ado here is my double page spread :)

You may notice a bit of a change in this LO compared to my previous blog posts but I had decided that I was spending WAY too much time in front of the computer and not enough time playing so I changed it up a bit! And am LOVING it!!

Here is a close up of my Week 32 title card.

The chevron card is from the Honey PL kit, the camera is a die cut from my stash so too is the twine. The ink splatters are from the primrose and mustard colour shine (LOVE LOVE LOVE!!) and so too is the week number :)

Anyways, thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed seeing my Week 32 PL spread :)

A Wedding Card

Hello there blog followers :)

I am FINALLY getting around to sharing with you the card I created for a friend's wedding back in June - oops!!

So, I have used a Tiddly Inks image called You and Me. I adore this image and had so much fun colouring it up :)

I used mainly bits and pieces from my own stash so am not really 100% sure of what or where I got most of it from - sorry!! I do, however,  know that the flat black flowers and the rhinestone swirl are Prima - the swirl has been cut down. Also, the ticket is a Tim Holtz ticket and all the cardstock and also the seam binding ribbon is Stampin Up. I also used a piece of Pink Paislee patterned (resistable) paper from the Parisian Anthology (I think!!) range which I inked up using distress ink :)

So, here is my creation, I loved colouring and putting this together

And a close up:

The copic colours I used are:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11 and R20
Bride hair: E50, E53, E43 and E57
Bride dress: C0, C1 and C3
Groom hair: E23, E25, E29
Groom suit and shoes: W3, W5, W7, W9
Grounding: W1, W3 and W5

I hit a bit of a snag when I realised that the card wasn't going to fit into an envelope so I googled for directions on how to make a card box and here is the end product (sorry, I can't for the life of me remember where I got the tutorial from!)

And a close up of the detail

I used Stampin Up cardstock, patterned papers, and ribbon and some of the same (uninked version) Pink Paislee patterned Paper.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my creation for my friends wedding.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A Random Thursday Card Challenge - Challenge #11 - Anything Goes
Papercrafting Journey - Anything Goes
Stampotique Designers Challenge - Challenge #113 - Wedding

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!!

A productive crop day/night!!

Hi there!!

Today I am sharing with you some projects I STARTED and COMPLETED at a crop last Saturday!!

I am so super impressed with myself - it's not very often I can say I'm productive at crops and such!!

Here is my 1st project - my son's (who will be 1 on 27th August!) birth announcements. These are a hybrid project - I found some super cute baby boy papers on Etsy from The Dapper Fox ScrapsI added a couple of the designs to some 6x4 templates in PSE10, added some text to one of the layers and printed out my 2 layers and my photo's (with a white border). I then matched some Midnight Muse (Stampin Up) cardstock to the papers I printed and got trimming, sticking and pop dotting.

Here is the finished project and I am so very happy with them:

And a little close up:

I also managed to create my August ATC swap for a FB group - Aussie Scrappers Society to which the theme was Steampunk/Industrial. That is not really my "norm" so I had a heap of fun doing something different and stepping out of my comfort zone. I did some stamping, heat embossing, distressing with inks and also distressing the edges and using some charms that I was keeping for "something"!!

Here they are:

And a close up:

These guys are going postal today :) And, again, I'm pretty happy with the finished design :)

I also managed a start on another of Alyce's (over at Kit and Clowder) card kits - July "Charmings" kit but couldn't hear the video very well so gave that up and went back to my PL. Not anything to show you for that as it was mostly journalling here and there. But I feel like I achieved a fair bit so I am super happy!!

I hope I can help to inspire you to create something fun and maybe something out of YOUR norm. Thanks for stopping by :)

PL Week 11 and 12

Well, it's been a little while since I have shared any of my PL with you guys =) I am no where near as far behind IRL as I am on my blog - slowly plugging away and changing and finding my style =)

But tonight I am here to share with you my week's 11 and 12 =)

Here is Week 11 LHS

And the RHS

And both together

And here is my week 12 LHS

At the bottom right there is a couple of really cute tags that I received with the couple of happy mail parcels I received this week. It was pretty simple to create - just printed my collage and used one of my SU dies to cut the pretty shape off the end, attached the photo to a piece of backing card (on 3 sides) and there you go =)

Here is the RHS

Up the top in the middle there is a flip pocket. We welcomed a new (early!!) niece to our family in week 12 (the card I created is here) and I wanted to add both a 6x4 print of her sweet little face as well as a super cute story about my big boy Jacob.

Here is the other side of the flip pocket

This insert was mostly a digi creation of mine but I added some felt pieces from {scrAp this!} and I am super happy with the way it turned out =) You probably can't read what it says but after I told Jacob (he was a little over 3 at the time) that his cousins had a new baby sister he was very concerned that we were going to get rid of his baby and replace him with a new baby. I did comfort him but it was just so sweet the way he looked at me and was so genuinely concerned that we were just going to trade Hunter in for a new baby!

And last but not least here is both the left and right of my week 12

Hope you have enjoyed seeing my week's 11 and 12. I WILL be back soon to share some more of my creations!! Thanks for stopping by =)
