A gift

Hi there!!

Today I am here to share with you a Project Life planner that I made for my very best friend for her birthday!!

Pretty simple construction - some chipboard for the front and back cover, some heavy weight plain white cardstock, some patterned paper and a white wire to bind :)

Here is the little planner that I put together

The image I coloured up is called "Everyday Princess" and she is drawn by Christy Croll over at Tiddly Inks :)

My copic colours are:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and R20
Hair: E21, E25 and E29
Pink: R81, R83, R85 and R89
Turquoise: BG49, BG13 and BG10
Black: C1, C3, C5, C7 and C9
Gold: Y35, Y38, E15 and E18
Grounding: W0, W1, W3 and W5

The whole of the front cover is X-Press It blending card. After colouring her up I have done some ink splatters with the blush and the black colour shine sprays and sewed down the letters. I also added a bit of a gold doily at the top and popped a mini butterfly runner on top of that - they are made by the very talented Charmane from Charm's Creations - love, love, love her products!!

Here are a couple of close ups

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by!! Thanks and as always, happy crafting!!

PL 2014

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!!

It just came to my attention that I have totally neglected sharing ANY of my PL for this year!! I am currently sitting on week 27 - photo's and cards in, just gotta do the journalling and the "bits" :)

But I may as well start at the beginning and decide as this post goes along how much I shall share today!!

Here is our cover page for 2014 and I LOVE this - one of my most fave PL pages I have ever done!!

Since putting this page together I have added a bit to it - those 4 photo's along the middle are actually on the outside of the pocket and create a flip :) On the inside of the pocket there is a little journalling card with a little about each of us written on it. I have added magnets to the back of the photo along with a pretty piece of paper to cover the magnet and a tab (for easy lifting) and also a magnet to the back of the journalling card. Oh, and the cards I used here are from the Maggie Holmes edition of PL - I LOVE it!!

Here is week 1

Again using the bits from the Maggie Holmes edition and some papers from the Flea Market collection also by Maggie :)

Here is the left side

That "choose happy everyday 2014" was a free printable by Heidi Swapp and led me to choose my OLW for 2014 which happens to be CHOOSE :)

And the right side

I totally love design E this year!

Moving right along here is our week 2

I have used bits and pieces from the Amy Tan Ready, Set, Go collection.

TBH I wasn't 100% happy with the flow of this page but it is done!!

Here is the left

And the right

Not a great deal to say except looking back at these pages makes me miss Summer as I sit in my craft room listening to the rain and wind!!

Week 3 - which was a pretty big week as my biggest little guy celebrated his 4th birthday so my 1st insert for the year!

Left hand side

And with being true to our lives and the everyday stuff, yes I have written there that the day of Jacob's birthday was not a fantastic day - that in fact, the highlight of the day was them getting milkshakes - not any happy birthday stories this year though he did enjoy opening his presents!!

Right hand side

I can't believe how much my 2 little men have grown in the 6 months since these photo's were taken!

Here is the front of our week 3 insert

I had so much fun putting this insert together when I finally worked out what I wanted to do!! That big 4 is a Freckled Fawn veneer number and I just used some paper from a dinosaur collection I have here for the papers on the insert.

And the back - the party with a couple of flips :)

What a cake!! It was HUGE but DELICIOUS!! And Jacob LOVED it! And has asked for it again for his next birthday!!

I have enough time before school pick up for 1 more week so here is week 4

I used a Simple Stories range here - I'm sorry I can't remember what it's called but if you would like to know just leave me a comment and I can find out :)

Left hand side

And the right hand side

Oh, I am really missing summer now!!

Front of our insert - another busy week!!

This insert was done over the Aussie Day long weekend - this is ALWAYS a super busy time of year for us - we have a birthday a day between the 24th and the 28th so normally LOTS of parties, gatherings and of course the sky show when we can manage it!!

And the back

That red card looks a little blank and I think my plan was to go back and do some journalling but I totally forgot!! Haha!! Oh well, it's in there!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and thank you Agnus for your inspiration and your gorgeous pages!!

Tiddly Inks Everyday Princess

Hi there!!

Today I am sharing a card that I made over the weekend for a friend of mine. Her little girl turned 6 today, she saw this image and asked me to colour her up with pink hair and a purple skirt. I had lots of fun putting this together.

I have used a white card base, a 6x6 paper from the Echo Park Alison Kreft Capture Life collection and some card and papers from my stash. I have sprinkled some Aged Scarlet Frantage and a bit of twine along with some vellum and a tiny butterfly punch from Stampin Up.

And a close up

The copic colours I used are as follows:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and R20
Hair: R81, R83, R85 and R89
Purple: BV08, BV13, BV02 and BV00
Black: C1, C3, C5, C7 and C9
Gold: Y35, Y38, E15 and E18
Grounding: W0, W1, W3, W5

Have a Good Night!

Lucky last for the D-Lish Challenges!!

Tonight I am sharing with you a page designed for Kylie's Sketch Challenge

I am tired and I just want to get this published so I can tidy up my mess - you should see it after a week of scrapping!! Haha!!

So, here is my take

I have been hanging out to do something with this photo since, well, I guess, since I knew it had been taken, back in 2008!! Just one of those very candid shots that makes hubby and I still laugh today!!

Here are a couple of close ups

Thanks again for stopping by and happy crafting!!

Mum's Day Twenty 14

Hi again!!

Here today sharing my (more than likely last!!) challenge entry for Wendy's colour challenge over at D-Lish Scraps.

This was actually quiet difficult for me to pull together - not colours I would work with together by choice - though I am not a die hard AFL fan I am a Freo Dockers supporter and yellow and blue are the other WA teams colours - The Eagles!!

Without further ado here is the challenge

And my take

More gorgeous Heidi Swapp Colour Pop paper as the background, some Navey Colour shine across in the diagonal. Some layers with some of the Studio Calico Atlantic range, a mini runner from Charm's Creations, a mini chevron bag, some Freckled Fawn blue acrylic stars and that cute camera veneer piece :) Those feathers are stamped with the Heidi Swapp ink pads in Navy and Mustard using a CTMH stamp set and I FUSSY CUT them, adhered with a teensy bit of tape and then using my sewing machine stitched down the middle of both :)

Here are a couple of close ups

I enjoyed the challenge of working out of my comfort zone with colours I wouldn'd normally pair together!!

Oh, I will add too that I used a sketch from Shimelle Laine as the base of my LO :) Here is the sketch

And in case you need it click here and you can head over to her blog where I find HEAPS of inspiration!!

Thanks again for stopping by and happy crafting!!

The Fabulous Heidi Swapp!!

Hi again!!

As promised I am here with yet another challenge entry!! I am so proud of myself!! Haha!!

This time I worked on this challenge and chose the row 2nd from bottom :)

Here is my layout and I used all 5 elements from the bingo board - stitching, flairs, washi tape, sequins and bling!!

Again, so much fun playing!! Of course, it helps when you are so totally inspired by what you are scrapping.

I have used some of Heidi Swapp's Dreamy collection and also the Serendipity line. There are some bling and shiny stars from Freckled Fawn, that is a Maggie Holmes fabric frame and some gorgeous thickers from American Crafts - sorry for the not fantastic photo - dreary days here in Perth at the moment!!

Here are a couple of close ups :)

Again, thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!!

A 3rd Challenge in 2 days!

Hello there again!!

I am back today with another of the Challenges over at D-Lish Scraps. Today I am sharing what has turned into the title page for our Wedding album. It has only taken 6 and a bit years! But all is good especially considering when we got married I was all of the opinion "Why would anyone want to waste their time scrapbooking?" Haha!! How things change!!

Anyways this is the challenge I have participated in

After lots and lots of pulling out products and playing (I was originally going to scrap a photo from Mother's Day this year!!) I came across the "Happily Ever After" chipboard piece that I have had in my stash for my wedding album. I printed out a photo that I LOVE and that we used for our Thank You's for after the wedding and off I went.

This is what I ended up with

All ingredients used and accounted for!! And yes, though the mini alphas are not on the list they were allowed :)

Here are a couple of close ups

And just for the record - I really am NOT a fan of the "Best Day Ever" PL cards - I mean seriously, how many "Best Day Ever's" can one person have??! But it was totally fitting for this page and I will more than likely use a few throughout my album when I do get around to actually DOING it!! Work in progress ;)

Tonight I have been working on my PL - have ALMOST completed week 25 - I just have 2 more cards to put together and few lines of journalling and then onto week 26!!

Again, thank you for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed seeing my creations!!

Happy Crafting xx

Another Challenge LO

Hello again!!

As promised (thanks to scheduling in blogger!!) here is my 2nd entry for the D-Lish Scraps Birthday Party.

This entry is for this challenge using this mood board

As soon as I saw this board and Agnus's beautiful page I was inspired to FINALLY get around to creating the background that I had seen on another friends Instragram feed.

I had so much creating this particular LO but am so impatient!! I tried to heat set the gesso background so I could get the colour happening but it was taking (what seemed like!!) forever so I popped it aside and went on with my other LO.

And here it is

And here are a few close ups

I used the Heidi Swapp colour shines to create my rainbow: red (sweet cherry) and yellow (mustard) and pink (primrose) and green (mint green), orange (coral) and purple (I mixed teal, primrose and white) and blue (navy). I knew which photo I wanted to use and had the title picked out already using the gorgeous cork piece! Pulled out (well tipped the whole milk bottle out!!) some buttons, chose some washi and veneer pieces and stuck it all done. Then I got some shiny black thread and stitched each button into place.

So much fun!!

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you like my LO!!

Happy scrapping, or colouring, or PL'ing or whatever it is you love to do ;)

It's Been A LONG while but I'm still about!!

Hello there my lovely followers!

I am so sorry that I have been so absent from blogging for so long. Things have gotten crazy around here with my 2 little guys. The big one is now at school 5 days a fortnight and the little one, well, he's 2 next month and quiet mischievous!!

I am still PL'ing and loving it though I am definitely struggling to "keep up" but am happy plodding along. Though I do figure when I do get "caught up" I will have more time to PLAY!! Which is exactly why I am here today!!

I have been playing along with D-Lish Scraps 5th Birthday Challenges and am here today to share a LO I made for this challenge. I used the LO as a sketch, lots of yummy layers and the muted colours for my inspiration from Tarrah's gorgeous LO!

Here is my take on the challenge

And a bit of a close up

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed looking at my page. I had heaps of fun playing and will be back either later today or tomorrow with another LO that I have finished today also for the D-Lish 5th Birthday Party!! I used this challenge for this LO but was inspired ages ago by another scrapbooking friend when she shared this on Instragram AGES ago.

Happy Scrapping :)
